"Travel Goals"

I learned a lot of things about my travel to Armenia. It is not only for leisure but the things I discovered that will remind me of this wondrous place.

"Discover Something New, Share it with the World"

This is my second blog about my trip to Armenia.

I was not prepared. I underestimated how cold the weather is in Armenia.
I did not bring any thick jackets that would suffice for the harsh weather.

But thankfully, the driver of the tourist agency provided me a jacket- for rent.

8 in the morning. After breakfast at the hotel. Our tour guide met us in the lobby.
She discusses what and where are the places that we're going to visit.

"ROADSHOWS"

Our first visit was to the Garni Temple -A Unesco World Heritage site. It took us about an hour to get there.

While killing the time. I took the opportunity to take some pictures while inside the car.

As a Filipino living in a tropical country. We never experience winter at all. Although we experience some chill temperatures below 24 degrees during twilight and during midnight.

I ever wonder. How do Armenians manage to do their errands during this period?
Trust me. It is cold outside. Snow is falling and you need to get up in the morning and go to work.

Water is cold on the faucet. (Good thing- Water heater is available) I even managed to take a bath in the morning despite the freezing temperature. I can't stay longer than 3 mins (lol).

Here are some of the pictures I took:

And finally... Here it is:

"Garni Temple, Armenia"

The Temple of Garni is an Ionic-colonaded temple in Garni, Armenia. It is the best-known structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia. It is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. Wikipedia
It's my first time to see such an amazing temple. I feel like I traveled back in time. The Temple itself and the pure pitch white snowy mountain.
That superb view indeed.

Travel back to the ancient time :)

After visiting the temple. The tour guide offers us to drink an Armenian Coffee. To suffice the cold weather.

Then we go back to the City to visit some of the famous landmarks of Yerevan. The Cafesjian Museum of Art.

After all these hectic schedules and tiring rota. Still, I was able to manage to visit my Aunt's Wedding Anniversary.

This is my first time to splurge overnight from a 5 Star Property.
I'm talking about the hotel that I stayed for the entire night.

It's the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Situated just across the Emirates Palace.
For those who are not familiar with the location. Here's the address;

Corniche Road West, Opposite Emirate Palace - Abu Dhabi

Still confused? Better ask the Taxi Driver to bring you to the Hotel. Don't forget to mention the complete name :)

The Main Entrance of the Hotel

After work, We have dinner and go straight to the hotel for some celebration.

It was 8 in the evening, Thursday night so it was a rush hour and it was a little bit of traffic.
We  arrived at the hotel around 8:30

According to their website. The hotel is very accessible to the biggest shopping centers, museums, and many other leisure destinations.

For the eta. Please find it below as per their website

  • 5 minutes drive to the Marina Mall
  • 10 minute drive to the Khalidiyah Mall
  • 15-minute drive to the Al Wahda Mall
  • 20 minutes drive to the Abu Dhabi Mall
Midnight...

I couldn't appreciate the view of the hotel.
For some reason, the view of our room is currently situated beneath the left side wing.

It's pretty eye-soar as well cause the dust makes the windows a little blurry. Nevertheless, I can still see the view of the sea. (A little bit)

Hello, World :)

Security...

My aunt has her own car so we're able to get access to the parking lot.
For you to get access to these. The hotel is providing a Secure Card.

Though, this is my first time. I was amazed at how they implemented these for everyone in the hotel.
From the door entrance at the basement, riding on the lift and of course, opening your room.
You have your own access card.

It's very convenient and secure! Thumbs Up!

How Many Floors?

I forgot! Haha :D Actually, We're on the 21st floor. And I can feel some ear pressure.

The view from the 21st is VERY ASTONISHING. Trust me.

The Lobby...

First impressions, Last. Yes, no doubt.  I think all complimenting adjective is okay. :)

The room that we had was good for a family. I did not ask my aunt what type of room it was but one thing was for sure. It's Very spacious, and cozy and comes with a small kitchen, living room (it's like an apartment), two washrooms, and two big rooms where 10 people can sleep.

Trust me. It's worth the price you pay.

well.....

The Amenities...

Well, they provide linens, towels, and bathrobes with a touch of Arabian way. :)

And they do provide an organic soap, which smells good.

Fun, Thrill, and Excitement!

Solo Traveler Here

"Once A Year, Travel To A Place That You Never Visited Before"

"There is always a first time"

These are the quotes that remind me of my visit to Yerevan, Armenia.

Since I was a child. I always dream of seeing snow. My Grandfather always sends me a picture of him during the winter holidays in the US. And I was so amazed at what the snow looked like in the pictures.

I promised myself that one day. I will see snow.

And so do I. :)

Living in a tropical country- The Philippines. We have two seasons, the Summer and of course the Rainy Season. During December depending on the climate, We are experiencing some "winter moments-a bit cold around 22 to 26 degrees during the morning, around 5 AM. As what I experienced. But then again that is without the snow.

I've been to other countries. Such as Malaysia, Oman, and Kish.

My next bucket list was to see snow and I did not hesitate to book a tour of Armenia, Yerevan.

For those who wish to book their own tours or information on how I book the tour package.
I strongly recommend this agency. Check the website of the House of Tours.

Friendly Guest Service Experts will be happy to assist you. The agent who assisted me during the booking was Anita.

People are asking if I'm afraid to travel alone. My answer is. Of course, I'm not.

Ever since, Working in UAE, It the part of my job to be transferred to different locations and travel to different workplaces, and in some cases, if needed- move out to another accommodation if possible (yeah right... the struggle is real) maybe somehow I get used to it.

HERE WE GO!!

Enjoying some  cappuccino while waiting for my flight at Sharjah International Airport

As a first-timer, I was so excited then to see the snow as the plane landed down to the Zvarnots Intl. Airport.

Ground Support
10 Mins before the landing

At that time, the snow was just gradually falling.

Going to the Passport Control Area
Going to the Passport Control Area

WOW

That time the temperature was -10 degrees. I'm getting used to it with the temperature in UAE that drops to 16 degrees.

But I did not expect that it would be as cold as it was. Freezing indeed. Truly, I underestimated how cold the weather is.

The tour guide greets us warmly despite the cold weather. They are very accommodating and hospitable
THE ARRIVALS IN THE AIRPORT

The only thing that I noticed while visiting this country is the Language barrier.

Tip: Before going to this country:

  • Make sure to download an app translator just to make sure that you're not missing anything
  • Learn their basic words like good morning, good evening, and just simple greetings like hello or how are you.
  • Pack a super thick winter jacket for this tour.

Please Take Note: Upon arrival at the airport, You have the option as well to purchase a prepaid SIM card that comes with a free data bundle.

We visited two tourist spots after we dropped by at the hotel, by then we had another tour to visit however due to harsh weather, We decided not to continue since it was too late in the evening as well.

All About Watches

If Music has a genre. Watches have it too.

  • Men's Watch
  • Ladies Watch
  • Teens Watch
  • Kid's Watch

For Men's Watch

There is a Chronograph Watch.

What is a Chronograph Watch?

-A Chronograph is a specific type of watch that is used as a stopwatch combined with a display watch. A basic chronograph has an independent sweep second hand. It can be started, stopped, and returned to zero by successive pressure on the stem.

Check this out:

Do you notice those 3 buttons above?
If you press these buttons and the movement of the watch works, Then that is a Chronograph Watch.

Please be mindful that some watches have 3 buttons but 2 of them are not working thus it's for display purposes only.

For Ladies Watch

There are 3 types of watches for Ladies.

And many options to choose from.

One of them would be either Leather Strap Watch, Silicon Rubber, or the Steel Watch.

For the Leather Watch.
You can check the picture below for your reference.

Silicon Rubber Watch.

Here's an example:

 Steel Case and Strap Watch.

Check this one below.

For Teen's Watch

Some watches go digital nowadays.

Digital Smart Watch

A mobile device with a touchscreen display, designed to be worn on the wrist.

-The main benefit of a smartwatch is that it keeps you constantly updated without you having to whip out your smartphone.

-The SmartWatch works only and syncs together with your smartphone.

An example of a digital smartwatch is the Apple Watch.

Analog Watch.

Those type of watches that you read above was all analog.

Analog watch- It was coined to distinguish analog watches, which had simply been called "watches", from newer digital watches. The name refers to the design of the display, regardless of the timekeeping technology used within the watch.

Analog Watch uses the timekeeping technology within the watch compared to the Smart Watch which relies on your smartphone.

Here are the pictures of a Digital SmartWatch and an Analog Watch.

See the difference?

Gentleman's Watch.

 Ladies Watches.

And for the Kid's Watches

Tipsy Tips!!

-Ask the Sales Associate if the Watch is Water Resistant or Waterproof.

What is a Water Resistant Watch?

Water Resistant is a common mark stamped on the back of wristwatches to indicate how well a watch is sealed against the ingress of water. It is usually accompanied by an indication of the static test pressure that a sample of newly manufactured watches was exposed to in a leakage test.

So to make it short. You can use these watches for water splashing, washing hands, or taking a shower.

What is Water Proof Watch?

You can only use this type of watch for diving. These types of watches can handle pressure below sea level. Depending on how much the capacity of the watch can handle.
